Whatever The Weather

2014-12-09 17.37.19

The Storm Haiku.

Darkness fills the skies
Lightning cracks loud thunder roars
Driving rain soaks earth

Whatever the weather the event is happening. Attending a UK Storm Gathering Symposium should always be regarded as a holistic experience.

We have drawn together a great number of competent, capable and caring coaches, leaders and safety boaters whose remit is to encourage, educate and engage participants both on and off the water.

The aim to deliver safe, quality learning experiences. The opportunity exists to come away knowing more about yourself; your fellow paddlers and the wider sea kayaking community. And perhaps be inspired to extend your own adventure boundaries.

We look forward to seeing you all this weekend 🙂

Questions, Queries and Concerns

This goes out to all those attending the 8th Uk Storm Gathering Symposium being held at Anglesey Outdoors this coming weekend.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions about the event; entertainment schedule; activity sessions; raffle; and equipment needs.

All domestic matters should be directed to the excellent staff at Anglesey Outdoors who are working around the clock to prepare for everyone’s arrival at the centre.

Remember, we also have a number of manufacturers displaying their wares and they will be available to chat about their products including representatives from P&H Custom Sea Kayaks; Mitchell Blades; VE Paddles; Whetman Equipment; Howard Jeffs Equipment; as well as our favourite local retailer – Summit to Sea.

All the best, and safe travels to the event.

The Jim Wilson Fund

Jim Wilson

Jim Wilson was a friend and mentor. He was a man of wisdom and integrity. Jim had a strong influence on a great many people who guide and lead on the sea today. He was a man who embraced the world of paddlesports across several disciplines and who cherished for being able to introduce others to the freedom of paddling on the ocean or rivers with immense passion and care.

To honour him, a fund has been set up in his name with the intention of providing some form of financial helping hand to individual wanting to access relevant training courses. Individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford access to such opportunities.

In order to make the fundraising effort, we are setting the raffle ticket price at £10 per ticket. We have had very generous donations gifted from P & H Custom Kayaks; Kokatat & System X (PFD & Storm Cag); Mitchell Blades (Paddle); Whetman Equipment (Safety Equipment); VE Paddles (Paddle); Art & Sea; Rebel Kayaks; Summit To Sea; and Greenland or Bust.

Tickets will be on sale 7 days prior to the event commencing. Get in touch if you wish to purchase a ticket in advance.

Contact us if you have any questions, queries or want more information about the fund.

All the best.
